GRACE WIRE OFFERS DISTINCT
ADVANTAGES
Eliminate Costly Tooling
Grace Wire EDM’s computer program actually replaces hard fixtures and tooling at a fraction of the cost. Wire EDM is ideal for fast prototyping of metal parts and approved production parts can be produced quickly, eliminating costly delays.
Complex Perimeter Geometry
Grace Wire EDM can produce complex contoured shapes, allowing you to design the configuration you need, in one piece, thus eliminating additional pieces.
Capable lf Machining Exotic Materials
Choose any electrically conductive material, including heat treated, hardened, and tough to machine: steel alloys, Inconel X, titanium, tungsten, molybdenum, medical grads stainless, aluminum alloys, copper, etc.
Tight Tolerances
Grace production wire EDM can routinely hold up to # 001” tolerances and tighter if required. Since there is no tool wear, consistency is maintained on each part, regardless of quantity.
Burr Free Application
Unlike milling, stamping and other metalworking methods, Grace Production Wire EDM parts are burr free. High speed production produces straight, highly finished side walls. There is no edge taper, common to etching and laser machining.
Stress Free Machining
Grace Production Wire EDM is not limited by the temper of the metal. Annealed, to very high tempered metals can be machined with equal ease. Since no stress is induced by the Wire EDM process, metals do not warp, bow or curl.
Effective Production Methods
Nesting allows efficient use of material. Depending on the thicknesses involved, several pieces of raw material can be nested together and machined in one operation, reducing piece-part costs. The stacking of many parts and computer controlled, high speed machining combine to make production Wire EDM parts an efficient and economical choice.
