LASER CUTTING
Grace Manufacturing has two Amada high-powered Co2 laser cutting work stations specially designed to proved us with the maximum cutting accuracy. These machines can cut a wide variety of materials including all grades of stainless steels, carbon steels, Kover and titanium in thicknesses up to 1/8” and up to a size of one square meter.
Power Output Capability
Continuous Wave (CW) Gated Pulsing (square wave) Super Pulse (to 2.5 x CW power) Hyper Pulse (a proprietary cutting pulse shape)
The versatility of these power outputs and pulse rates of up to 5,ooo Hz allows us to produce dross free cutting on all parts.
Laser Accuracy
The machine positioning accuracy is +/- 0.0002” in 20” of travel with a repeatability of 0.00008”. This machine accuracy allows us to produce laser cut parts with feature positional accuracy of +/- 0.005” and edge to edge accuracy of +/- 0.001”.
Combination Laser Cutting and Photochemical Machining Parts
At Grace Manufacturing we specialize in combining our laser cutting and etching processes to produce parts that have accurately located, stepped channels or pocket features. Complex parts can be produced by using both methods without the need for any special hard tooling.
Applications
A list of typical parts produced at Grace Manufacturing include; encoder discs, lead frames, shims and spacers, EMI shields, valve plates, spring contacts and reed valves. There are numerous other applications beyond these.
As with any process there are limitations, such as size of openings, tolerances attainable at various thicknesses, etc... Contact Grace Manufacturing with any questions or concerns and let us submit a quote for your next manufacturing need.
